Touristic and gastronomic event which takes place on the last weekend of June. The old town of San Daniele gets transformed in an enormous open-air tasting room for prosciutto (ham). The restaurants and prosciutterie (taverns with great choice oh hams) offer typical dishes with prosciutto crudo (dry-cured uncooked ham). Recommended specialities: tagliatelle (ribbons of pasta) with saffron, meat or local cheeses, all of it with San Daniele ham, served with home-prepared vegetables pickled in oil. During the festival, ten local producers open their establishments for those who wish to discover the secrets of the famous San Daniele ham.
