The earliest mention of the place is to be found in a 13thcentury document on a Pieve (rural parish church) dedicated to the Patriarch of Aquileia. Today’s Parish Church is a late-Baroque building (1738-62) with two altars carved by F. Zuliani. More interesting, in the neighbourhood of San Zanut, is the mid-17thcentury rural church of San Giovanni Battista, with pleasant painted fragments by Lampi, a quite unknown fresco painter. In the neighbourhood of Cassegliano, the monumental neoclassical Villa Sbruglio-Prandi stands out in its large park, with its tall façade with Ionic half-columns preceded by trabeated -barchesse- (warehouses).
