Many finds of Roman rustic settlements dating between the 1st century BC and the 3rd centuryAD, one of which had a kiln, have been excavated in the municipality territory. Such agricultural vocation has been retained through the centuries, the different rulers notwithstanding, so much so that still today both the municipality and its neighbourhoods offer visitors several rural districts, sometimes crowded up to the manor houses they were annexed to, as is the case of Villa Caratti, Fraccaroli at Paradiso, which is an articulated complex with strong Venetian influences (17th and 19th centuries). Still at Paradiso, close to Villa Caratti, Fraccaroli, stands the several times remodelled church of S. Maria Annunziata (1689, 19th cent.), at Rivalta the church of Natività della Madonna (15th-18th centuries). XV, XVIII) and at Roveredo, the lovely votive church of Beata Vergine del Rosario (14th-17th centuries). It is however the parish church of Pocenia that is outstanding for the enchanting altarpiece of the Sacred Family and Vincenzo da Paola by F. Zugno (1751), who was one of Tiepolo’s disciples.
