The building of the Neoclassical parish church of Arba was carried out between 1836 and 1861; it was then frescoed with a Fall of the Rebel Angels by P. Sopracasa in 1921 and made even more precious by some works of art coming from the old parish church, among which a 16th-century baptismal font and especially the high altar, showing a bas-relief with Angel adoring the Eucharist and the statues of Archangels Raphael and Michael, executed by G. Contiero in the 1760s according to the fluffy plasticity of 18thcentury Venetian altarpiece art. The rugged, though fascinating surrounding landscape is revived every now and then by a few examples of contemporary architecture, such as the Town Hall (1969-1973), designed by architects G. Gresleri and S. Varnier, or the church of San Gottardo at Colle, built in 1987 on a design by E. Polesel from Sacile. Inside is a 17th-century carved ambo survived to the demolition of the older building after the 1976 earthquake.
